 ABSTRACT:
 Objective: To compare the effectiveness of basal bolus and Premixed insulin regimen in gestational type 2 diabetics low resource setting.
 Methodology: This randomized controlled trial was conducted Obstetrics Gynaecology department, Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) Peshawar over a period one year.
 Total 100 patients with Type Diabetes (T2DM) diabetes mellitus (GDM) were included study. 50 allocated to each group by non probability convenient sampling . One given other regimen. The put on according body weight after first 24 hour blood sugar profile.
 Results: two groups similar for maternal age, gravidity, mean glucose hours as shown Table1. There rapid control sugar, day 7 Mean Blood Glucose (MBG) 152 mg/dl compared split which 192.42mg/dl ‘p’ value 0.000 Table 2.
 Conclusion: Basal is effective, cheaper easily accessible way controlling our set up.
